This is the second cooktop, same model, I've had in 2 weeks. The hot indicators do not line up with the knobs. This tells me there is a wiring issue, thus a potential fire hazard. I would not recommend this model.

Purchased about 2.5 years ago and don™™t cook often. Power boil stopped working. I tried shutting off power but that did not work. Any ideas?

I really dislike this appliance. Any small splatter requires extensive cleaning. I would throw it in a dumpster if another surface was available that was easily cleanable.

The look of the product is outstanding. The ease of installation was phenomenal and my husband didn't say any single curse words. We upgraded our entire kitchen in a remodel and the stove we replaced was original to the house from 1973. It was the old burner stovetop separate from the ovens and had one knob broken off. This is most definitely an upgrade for our kitchen!

We purchased this product in 2021. Three years later, in 2024, we started experiencing pops and sizzling noises, sparks on the ON elements, and flickering light. We decided to stop using the cooktop two weeks ago. Now, we are looking to buy another product. Unfortunately, the manufacturer provides a one-year warranty. An electric cooktop should not break down in three years. This is a safety issue that might require immediate attention. That says a lot about the quality of the product. I hope GE can help solve this issue. We would like to hear from the manufacturer about the problems described.
It isn't easy to clean the cooktop, regardless of your cleaning agent.

Overall easy to install. Recommend maybe provide the proper product for cleaning the cooktop with the unit. Also try to make the control knob setting easier to read.

I went from a flat surface with no knobs to this model. There were no options for complete flat top with no knobs. But it's really nice and cleans easily. So, I am happy !

We love GE products in general. When we built this home we installed a GE gas stovetop, but this builder messed up and failed to set up gas lines. Sad to say we never used the gas stovetop. Three years later, I decided to go electric and we purchased the GE Stovetop. We love it and it was very easy to install. Looks fantastic! We can cook now ð

So far, so good! Love the "Power Boil" feature, which saves a lot of time. However, I don't understand why GE cheaped-out with the plastic knobs instead of metal, as was not the case with our older (ten years) GE range top. We salvaged the metal knobs from our older GE range top and used them on the new unit.

I always purchase GE Products for their durability and performance. One thing I can say about this cooktop that I just purchased and installed is that I wish the numbers next to the knobs were more visible, very hard to see. Other than that I am pleased.

I have owned GE Products all my life, I purchase them because of the quality, there is an area that can be improved on the cooktop that I just purchased and installed, the numbers that surrounds the knobs should be enhanced more. They are very hard to see. I wish there was a way to make them brighter. Otherwise I am very pleased with the purchase.

I purchased this cooktop on two occasions and each time the same issue occurred. There was a ™pop™ sound and then the breaker tripped. Getting a service repair was another major frustration.

I had a 12-13 year old GE cooktop that finally died. I was worried about the fit, but just like GE said, it fit like a glove. The install was super easy, two wood screws and three wire nuts. Like others had said in their reviews, it didn't come with enough wether stripping, so I had to run to the hardware store and buy a small roll for $3. Other than that, went really smooth. Seems to work great and looks awesome!

Broken after 6 months of using. Since I live alone and the largest burner is not using too much? I wonder how it stops working so quick? I start whiting this review because I purchased all my kitchen appliance from GE and it was very silly choice. The microwave was broken first, then problem with washer. Now is cooking top. What is next?

Product performs as expected with the exception that the wiring indicating which burner is on and hot has been mis-wired. Example: Large Center burner is on but indicator reflects that the right burner is on and hot. As a result of being mis-wired when the Right burner is on the Large Center indicator reflects that its on and hot. This issue, of course, can only be identified once the unit is fully installed and operating. Kind of a letdown in quality control and/or final inspection before being boxed for sale and final installation.

Stove was purchased by builder. Having the knobs where they are located makes it very difficult to clean. I realize the knobs come off for cleaning, but it takes forever to clean this stove. Cook bacon??? forget about it!

Working off countertops for a couple of decades so this was not a journey down a different path, just a bit pricier.
The five burners are each distinctive enough, offering the opportunity for a variety of cook levels though the layout might be improved by placing the controls nearer the burner it controls rather than in a center cluster.
We have always had knobs on the counter, but the biggest issue I have with this cooktop is that cleaning around the knobs is an adventure. When I'm finished, there's no assurance the range is totally clean.
After a lurch or two at the start, we have learned to enjoy the range.
