Bad design . A Mildew Magnet Its a great idea but according to the in my opinion completely non-experienced techs reading from scripts LG its normal for there to be some water at the bottom of the machine after a cycle. I had to repeat until I was blue in the face a lot of water that doesnt evaporate even with fans dry climate the top open 24/7 for ONE Month is NOT NORMAL. Mildew city. Clearly the design needs to be rethought with water sensors for appropriate draining.

I love the sidekick pedestal washer-until it broke in April 2024. I called LG to get it serviced under its Home Depot 5-year warranty. They sent a technician on May 2 2024 from Lamb Group Appliance Service in Richmond VA. The tech said it either needs to be replaced with a new one or the sensor boards need to be replaced. All it does is fill with water and overflow no draining. He said someone would be in touch but both my husband and I called and left messages with Lamb Geoup to no reply. They never pick up the phone at Lamb Group so all you can do is leave messages. My husband finally got a text stating that the repair was complete and thanked us for using Asurion on the morning of May 10 2024. If we had questions to call 888-864-0499. The service request was number 1830202431. I called that 888 number the same day on Friday May 10 2024. The customer service manager said we would get an email from another company to give a second opinion. We still have received and/or heard nothing as of May 14 2024. Very poor customer service all around. I think and hope LG can do better than this in the future. I hope my big washer doesnt break or I will likely have to buy a new washer and it wont be LG.

We love our sidekick but the product falls short on the lid. The handle itself is very fragile and this is our second lid replacement which is costly and cannot be purchased from LG. When we contacted LG to find a local LG representative we were provide names of companies that when we called said they do nit service LG products. So we were left finding and researching the internet ourselves. I really expected a better product quality and help from LG on this one considering the rest of our LG products are great.

I love the ability to wash small loads using less water The only complaint is the plastic handle. It broke but only after almost 5 years of careful use. Glad I had the warranty Also I leave it open to avoid mold so it has to be kept pulled out.

We thought this one over extensively. We needed a pedestal to match the dryer pedestal for the height we wanted and the cost of this unit was only $350 more for the washer function - over just a drawer. So we ordered this option. It has already proven its worth The ability to quickly wash small loads like kitchen towels hand towels undergarments and anything that does better on a gentle cycle - this is the answer to that task. You can run both units at the same time. This one always finishes first and the clothes and or towels are completely clean. This uses less water less power and less time. So if you have a small load or need only one thing cleaned quickly before the stain sets in this unit is ideal for the task.

This had problems from day 1. It did not drain after washing so there always remained water in it. When I called LG they said it was a pump problem and that the part was back ordered more than 2 wks. So they said they will just give me a new washer rather than make me wait. However I will admit that getting the check from them is taking more than 2 wks in itself. But still that seems pretty good assuming the check arrives. I am assuming it will. Ill have to see if the next one works any better.

I bought this with my LG washing machine about three months ago it is a fantastic design and added product to my machine. It is truly convenient to put my hand washables in and I can do so at the same time as my wash is going. Hey only thing you need to remember is once you add the washing soap it will chime after the wash is complete and then when the rent cycle comes it will chime for you to add the fabric softener I think it gives you like three minutes.

I bought the Sidekick for two reasons I usually have a lot of small wash loads and it was on sale. Actually I really didnt have much faith that it would clean that well but I decided to take a chance. OMG So glad that I did. It holds more than I anticipated. It came with a tiny cup to measure liquid detergent. I wanted it to wash my lingerie and other delicate laundry items. It did a great job. I am going to see how it cleans covers for pillows that were out all summer long.

We really liked this pedestal sidekick washer that was part of the LG Washer-Dryer-bundle with washer dryer and pedestal for dryer. It is a good product as you can wash small items without wasting lot of water and electricity. We would have given it 5 stars if it came with all the included accessories. Our only disappointment is that LG customer service could not send us a missing included accessory for the sidekick washer in spite of repeated requests in the past 3 weeks.

This is a nice washer when you want to wash just a couple of items. I am a little disappointed you can not control the washer with the app. Since my washer is in the garage I can not hear it when it signals to add softener or when the cycle is completed and it would be nice to get notified on the application that it is ready for softener or when the cycle is completed.
